It’s certainly been a busy week for Talons Volleyball. Yesterday, we had a great turnout for our Ladies Senior Night when they defeated Foremost 3-0. Tonight, the Mens team showed a lot of grit against a tough McCoy team during our second Spirit / Senior Night. The Eagle Butte High School Cross Country Team had yet another successful year. The team took 55 runners to Zones and won their 17th 3A championship title in the last 18 years. Sam Schick placed second in the senior boy's category while Nate Smyth and Jack Leifso placed first overall in the Para Athlete category. Keira Grant also placed third in the junior girls' category. The following athletes went on to provincials to help the Talons place 5th: Reyna Woodruff, James Traichel, Grayden Tschritter, Zion Raible, Sam Gilbert, Austin Siewert, Quinn Olson, CJ Payeur, Elizabeth Bowey, Nick Lefebvre, Kassidy Hart and Sam Schick. Jack Leifso was also given the honor to read the Athlete's Oath.
