The Youth Initiatives & Education in Lifestyles & Driving Association (YIELD) will be attending the Friday Night Street Legals at the Medicine Hat Drag Strip, Friday, June 16. They are bringing 2 cars, a 2000 Camaro and a 1989 Mustang, all decaled up as RCMP patrol cars, both were used back as highway patrol cars. Youth/community members are invited to try out their state of the art driving simulator that realistically shows the hazards of high risk driving including speed, braking and distracted driving; showing just how fast things can happen in real time. #igniteminds #myprps Prairie Rose Public Schools

The U19 High School Softball League has come to a close for another season. Thanks to all 9 teams (2 MHHS, 2 EBHS, Oyen, Bassano, McCoy, CHHS and Brooks) that participated making for some fun and exciting action Mondays and Thursdays. The final tournament was played at the Redcliff and Crestwood diamonds with EBHS 1 battling EBHS 2 in the final. Great sportsmanship and friendship was shown throughout the tournament, but only 1 team could take home the trophy. Congrats to EBHS 1 for the win and going undefeated for the weekend! Today, Mrs. Marshall's Math 10 C class was given the task to find the volume of a gummy bear. The students came up with many interesting ways to manipulate their gummy bears to find their volume. Then they were asked the volume of the world's largest gummy bear (the 5lb bear). How many little gummies does it take to make one big gummy?
